How to come to India for studying

If you are a self-finance student and when you decide to come for study to India, first of all you need to have a contact person in any city/university that you want to get admission at. By contacting that person who may be your friend he/she would get a provisional letter from the respective university. But before that, you need to provide the following documents:

• Scanned copy of
  1. If you are willing to come for bachelors degree/graduation, 12th class English mark sheet which will be given to from the ministry of Education.
  2. If you are interested to come for Masters degree/Post graduation, transcript of the bachelors degree of the faculty that you have been graduated from respective university.
  3. If you want to come or your PhD, you need to provide your masters degrees transcript, where you have studied.
• A passport size photograph

You can send these stuffs via e-mail. Then it s the duty of your friend to print the documents, stand in the bank line, going to the court and moving around university and offices, in short bear the problems of getting provisional letter for you. Of course it takes time. It is not a task of one or two days. After he/she got the provisional letter, he will post it to Afghanistan Embassy in Delhi for registration and other formalities, and then they will send the copies to the ministry of foreign affairs of Afghanistan and Indian embassy in Kabul for issuing the student passport by Ministry of Foreign Affairs and issuing student visa by Indian Embassy.

Now it is your responsibility to get your passport from M.F.A and visa from Indian Embassy. As soon as you get the visa, you should book the Air ticket to Delhi and fly towards India.

But for ICCR students they don t need to do all mentions things. The procedure of the work will be told by ministries of Education, Higher Education and Foreign Affairs in co-operation of each other. The student should follow step by step what will be ordered to them. There will be procedures of getting 12th class s mark sheet from ministry of Education, attestation by M.F.A, medical cheque up from head to toe, filling the form, selection of university and course you want to study, getting passport and visa. Though the administrative works of ministries are very slow, but students must insist on finalizing their works as early as possible. As soon as they reach, they will get seats in their favorite colleges.
