Goa is India’s smallest state which is located on the west coast of India in the region known as the Konkan, it is bounded by the state of Maharashtra to the north, and by Karnataka to the east and south, while the Arabian Sea forms its western coast.

Goa is actually a famous state for tourism in which million tourists come and spend their vocations and holidays. Mostly in winter and summer seasons, the tourists from abroad and also tourists from across India visit this state which is really famous for its excellent beaches, churches, temples and some historical places.

Though it is the tourist destination state, but no one can deny the salient growth of education and literacy level as compared to other states. Goa University is a very well known university in whole India, thousands of students across India and some foreign countries are studying in this University. Different courses such as Engineering, Commerce, Science, Arts, and Law etc are being taught in this university and some other colleges which are all affiliated to Goa University.

Meanwhile colleges that are run by government, some other private colleges are also there which are approved by Goa University and successfully move towards better performance and brighter future.

Among all students of Goa University, there are 150 Afghan students (8 girls and 142 boys), studying in different courses such as MBA, BBA, BA, BCA, LLB, B.com and BSC. Most of these students are ICCR scholars who are supported by ICCR and a few of them are self finance students that have come with their family economical supports.

There are exactly nine Hazara Students (1 girl, 8 boys) who are currently studying in this university. Five of them are the students of BBA, two BA students, and the remaining are one MBA student and one B.com student.

Afghan students have kept their hardship characteristic, which is really a key towards success and unique for all Afghan citizens, and all of them are studying very tough and accordingly they get excellent results as well. Though they are very busy with their studies, but they take active parts in every kind of functions, competitions, festivals, and sport tournaments which are organized by university or colleges.

In fact, college days are the most memorable duration in one’s life, and we all enjoy studying in Goa which is really a beautiful city with beautiful nature and beautiful weather.
